So I had one goal this summer and it was a simple one. To finish the black widow alphabet and paint some art for my dorm room... I did not do either of these things. I haven't even touched the alphabet since June. I did manage to have a kick ass summer with friends and in the end... isn't that enough? My portfolio says no... But its a mean jerk.

You did a really good job for it being your first time shading something! The moon looks really glowy which is cool. tips for shading would be to make a new layer above the green but below the background, take a darker shade of green and go over spots that are supposed to be dark. Like the underbelly and forearm. Same with yellow for the eye. You can do shine on the same layer with a lighter green. Or for the easy way that sometimes doesn't work... on the same layer as the green use the burn tool on dark places and the dodge tool on highlights! For a furry realistic texture. I would take different shades of green and make little lines that look like a fur texture just like if you were drawing it on paper. I know it's really hard to tell what exactly I'm talking about since i'm not right next to you showing you things.. so if you have any questions please ask. Overall though I like him and the way its done fits the style and mood.. the above are just tips for improvement next time.
